Phenomenal Pitching Paces Falcons To 7-1 Victory Over Samford
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team picked up a 7-1 win to begin the weekend series against the Samford Bulldogs. The Falcons started the day off strong with a single by Sam Seidel on the first pitch of the day immediately followed by a Vinny Salvione home run in the next at-bat, setting the tone. Totaling 11 hits as a team, the BGSU bats produced five extra-base hits, including a home run by Seidel as well. As for the mound, Jacob Turner began with a six-strikeout, five-inning start to pick up the win. The bullpen trio of Titus Lotz, Ty Roder and Kade Arn took over from there to secure the victory for Bowling Green.
