BGSU Takes National Stage, Hosts Akron Friday Night On CBS Sports Network
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will return home Friday night (Jan. 9) to the Stroh Center to host the Akron Zips on national TV. Bowling Green and Akron are slated for an 8 p.m. tip on CBS Sports Network. This will mark the third consecutive season the two have faced off on national TV. In addition to the national TV feed, Todd Walker will have the radio call on WFRO Eagle 99.
Falcons, Golden Flashes Exchange Lead 22 Times With 17 Ties In Close Contest
KENT, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team took the Kent State Golden Flashes down to the wire on KSU's home floor Tuesday night (Jan. 6). Over the course of the game, the lead changed hands 22 times with 17 ties along the way as well. In the end, Kent State pulled out a 96-93 final score despite Javontae Campbell's near double-double with 28 points, nine assists and six rebounds. The loss moves Bowling Green to 11-5 on the season while being 2-2 to begin MAC play.
Falcons Draw Arkansas State For Feb. 7 MAC-Sun Belt Challenge Contest
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference and Sun Belt Conference announced the February slate of games for this year's MAC-SBC Challenge Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 6). With the announcement, the Bowling Green State University men's basketball program will be traveling to take on the Arkansas State Red Wolves on Feb. 7, currently set for a 3 p.m. EST, 2 p.m. CT tip.
The Falcons Nest Coaches Show Returns Monday Night For First Show Of 2026
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The weekly Falcons Nest Coaches Show presented by Fricker's, returns Monday night (Jan. 5) on Falcon Sports Radio Network stations for the first show on the 2026 portion of the show's calendar. This week's show will feature three sports, two in-person and one pre-recorded segment. Head men's basketball coach Todd Simon will begin the show at 6 p.m. with a taped segment with Todd Walker due to the team's travel. The in-person portion will pick up with assistant women's basketball coach Kadie Hempfling followed by head gymnastics coach Brittney Emmons. Hempfling and Emmons will join Kevin Piel at the Bowling Green Fricker's with Piel stepping in for Walker due to basketball travel.
Falcons Set Focus On Flashes For Tuesday Night Tilt
KENT, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will continue their road trip Tuesday night (Jan. 6) with a 7 p.m. tip against the Kent State Golden Flashes. Bowling Green enters sporting an 11-4 overall record while being 2-1 in the MAC while Kent State holds an 11-3 record and 1-0 MAC standing. The game between the Falcons and Golden Flashes will be available to stream on ESPN+ with a radio feed from Todd Walker available on WFRO Eagle 99.
