Bowling Green Football Places a Program Record 33 Falcons on the 2025 MAC All-Academic Team
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced that 33 members of the Bowling Green football team have been named to the 2025 Academic All-MAC Team, establishing a program record. The 33 honorees surpass the previous mark of 18 set in 2024 and continue Bowling Green's strong academic tradition. The 33 honorees are the most in the MAC this season.
BGSU Football Places Eight on CSC Academic All-District® Team
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University placed the maximum eight student-athletes on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Football Team, the organization announced Tuesday (Jan. 6). BGSU, along with Eastern Michigan and Ohio, are the only MAC schools to place the maximum eight student-athletes on the All-District Team.
Eddie George Official Names Nosal the Sole Offensive Coordinator and Spencer McCourt Quarterbacks Coach
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — The Bowling Green State University Mike and Jan Wilcox head football coach Eddie George has announced the hiring of Spencer McCourt as the Falcons' quarterbacks coach and the elevation of Greg Nosal to offensive coordinator. Nosal, who has served as co-offensive coordinator since 2022, assumed primary play-calling duties over the final three games of the 2025 season and will continue in his role as offensive line coach.
Johnson, Lampron and Pettaway Highlight Bowling Green’s Seven Falcons Honored on the All-MAC Team
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green running back/kick returner Cameron Pettaway was named the MAC Freshman of the Year and earned first-team All-MAC honors, joining tight end Jyrin Johnson and linebacker Gideon Lampron on the league's top squad. The three first-team selections headline seven total Falcons recognized with postseason MAC accolades, as announced by Mid-American Conference Commissioner Dr. Jon Steinbrecher.
