Tuesday Baseball Against Cincinnati Canceled
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Due to current and anticipated weather and conditions, Tuesday's (Feb. 18) baseball against the University of Cincinnati has been canceled. At this time, no makeup date has been set for the contest. The Falcons are still scheduled to play Middle Tennessee on Saturday (Feb. 15) at 4 p.m EST to conclude the opening series of the season.
With the cancelation, Bowling Green's next game is set for Friday (Feb. 21) against USC Upstate, the first of three games in South Carolina for the Falcons with a 3 p.m. first pitch. BGSU will take on Presbyterian on Saturday (Feb. 22) before going against USC Upstate again on Sunday (Feb. 23).

- Falcons Set To Open Six-Game Homestand With Pair of Midweek ContestsBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team will kick off their six-game homestand with a pair of midweek games this week. Bowling Green will start with Purdue Fort Wayne on Tuesday (March 18) followed by Dayton on Wednesday (March 19), both scheduled for 3 p.m. first pitches at Steller Field. The Falcons enter the homestand with an eight-game winning streak, on the cusp of a double-digit winning streak for the first time since 2010. As always, admission is free at Steller Field for both games this week, all six games of the homestand, and the full home schedule.
- Brady Birchmeier Named MAC Co-Player Of The WeekCLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the MAC Players and Pitcher of the Week Monday afternoon (March 17). Of those named, Brady Birchmeier earned Co-Player of the Week alongside Miami (OH)'s Evan Applewick. This marks the first honor of Birchmeier's BGSU career as well as the first time a Falcon has been recognized this season after collecting seven weekly awards last year.
- Landon Willeman’s Strong Start Sets Up First Sweep At Akron Since 2014AKRON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team completed the sweep over the Akron Zips on Sunday (March 16) with a 6-4 victory at Skeeles Field. The sweep is the first for BGSU on the road against the Zips since 2014. Additionally, the win gives BGSU eight-straight victories, their longest winning streak since tallying 11 straight in 2010. For the season, Bowling Green moves to 13-5 while being 6-0 in the MAC, the last remaining undefeated team in MAC play for the second consecutive season.
- Falcons Extend Winning Streak To Seven With Saturday Win Over ZipsAKRON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team continued their winning ways on Saturday (March 15), picking up an 11-5 victory over the Akron Zips. The win secures the series win for the Falcons with a game to go, the first series win at Akron for BGSU since 2021. Bowling Green now has a seven-game winning streak, matching the longest winning streak for the team during the 2024 season. The Orange and Brown hold a 12-5 record on the season while being 5-0 in the MAC.
- Falcons Pick Up Sixth-Straight Win With First Friday Victory At Akron Since 2014AKRON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team extended their win streak to six-straight games on Friday (March 14), claiming a 7-3 victory over the Akron Zips. The win moves BGSU to 4-0 in the MAC for the second consecutive season, the first time going 4-0 to start MAC play in back-to-back seasons in program history. Additionally, the win marks the first on a Friday at Akron for the Falcons since the 2014 campaign. On the year overall, Bowling Green is now 11-5 in addition to the 4-0 MAC standing.
- BGSU Baseball Back On The Road With Weekend Stay In AkronAKRON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team will be back on the road this weekend for a three-game conference series against the Akron Zips. BGSU and Akron are scheduled for a game on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (March 14-16) with a 2 p.m. start on Friday followed by 1 p.m. first pitches on Saturday and Sunday. The games on Friday and Sunday will have ESPN+ streams.
