Tuesday Baseball Against Cincinnati Canceled
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Due to current and anticipated weather and conditions, Tuesday's (Feb. 18) baseball against the University of Cincinnati has been canceled. At this time, no makeup date has been set for the contest. The Falcons are still scheduled to play Middle Tennessee on Saturday (Feb. 15) at 4 p.m EST to conclude the opening series of the season.
With the cancelation, Bowling Green's next game is set for Friday (Feb. 21) against USC Upstate, the first of three games in South Carolina for the Falcons with a 3 p.m. first pitch. BGSU will take on Presbyterian on Saturday (Feb. 22) before going against USC Upstate again on Sunday (Feb. 23).

- Bowling Green Releases 2026 Baseball Schedule, Headlined By March 17 Home OpenerBOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University baseball team and Head Coach Kyle Hallock announced the schedule for the upcoming 2026 schedule. The Falcons will be embarking on their sixth season under Coach Hallock after going 33-22 a year ago with a 19-11 standing within the Mid-American Conference. The record granted BGSU back-to-back 30-win seasons for the first time since 2001-02. Mitta comes to the Falcons after spending the last two seasons at the University of Mount Olive. A native of Raleigh, N.C., Mitta joins a list of seven other transfers to join the Falcons for the upcoming season.

Over the summer, the Falcons added sophomore right-handed pitcher Chase Clatur, junior right-handed pitcher Andrew Heffernan, junior outfielder Pauly Mancino, redshirt junior right-handed pitcher Ethan Papacek, redshirt junior infielder Vinny Salvione, redshirt senior left-handed pitcher Ethan Stade and junior catcher Lance Vickers.
- 2025 MLB Draft Pick DJ Newman Signs Deal With Houston AstrosHOUSTON, Texas – Bowling Green junior two-way player DJ Newman was selected by the Houston Astros during the 15th round of the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft, going 456th overall. Newman signed a contract to play for the Astros' organization last week. Newman is the 68th player in program history to be selected in the MLB Draft. The Falcons are now one of three teams in the Mid-American Conference with a player selected in both the 2024 and 2025 MLB Drafts, joined by Ball State and Miami (OH).
- BGSU Baseball Lands 10 On Academic All-MAC TeamCLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the Academic All-MAC list for the 2025 baseball season Monday afternoon (June 16). Of those named, Bowling Green had 10 players named to the list, tied for the fourth-most in the league with seven teams having 10 or more. The Falcons have now had at least 10 players named in each of head coach Kyle Hallock's five seasons at Bowling Green. The list of BGSU recipients includes Logan Bell, Gavin Ganun, Nic Good, Zack Horky, Luke Krouse, DJ Newman, Connar Penrod, Sam Seidel, Landon Willeman and Garrett Wright.
