Bowling Green Football Places a Program Record 18 Falcons on the 2024 MAC All-Academic Team
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced that 18 members of the Bowling Green football team have been named to the 2024 Academic All-MAC team. The 18 Falcons are a program record, breaking the standard of 15 set in 2022 and equaled in 2023. In Scot Loeffler's six-year tenure, BGSU has six of its top seven outputs in program history for representation on the Academic All-MAC team.
Connor Bazelak (2), CJ Brown (2), Dontrez Brown (4), Levi Gazarek (4), Brock Horne (5), Nate Pabst (2), Alex Wollschlaeger (3) and Cade Zimmerly (2) have earned the honor multiple times in their career. CJ Brown earned his first accolade in 2022 during his time at NIU. Chace Davis, Patrick Day, Justin Eklund, Tunde Fatukasi, John Henderson, Travis Kenner, Edward Rhambo, Ali Saad, Chris Williams and Dayln White all earned the award for the first time.
To qualify for Academic All-MAC, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and participate in at least 50 percent of the team's contests. True freshmen are not eligible for the award. Transfers need to have one year of residency to be eligible.
