Falcons Soar Towards the Mid-Atlantic for a Quad-Meet at Towson
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green gymnastics team returns to action on Saturday night when the Falcons head to Maryland to take part in a quad-meet hosted by Towson at TU Arena. The meet will also feature William & Mary and Illinois State and starts at 5 p.m.

• Bowling Green is ranked No. 58 in the nation per Road to Nationals. Towson comes in at No. 38, Illinois State is at No. 34 and William & Mary is No. 64.

• BGSU is 2-2 all-time against Towson and making its first trip to TU. BGSU has won two in a row over the Tigers, including in 2020 before the Covid-19 Pandemic halted all competition. That meet was at West Virginia.
• BGSU is 15-11 all-time against Illinois State. ISU has won the last four meetings against the Falcons with Bowling Green's last win coming in 2020 at Anderson Arena.
• BGSU is 1-1 all-time against William & Mary and are meeting for the first time since a 2013 meet at NC State when the Tribe narrowly topped the Falcons.
TOWSON
• Towson is 10-5 on the season and coming off a strong showing at the Temple Women in Sports Meet where the Tigers went 3-1 with wins over Temple, New Hampshire and LIU.
ILLINOIS STATE
• Illinois State is 9-3 on the season and coming off a victory at Southeast Missouri State. ISU has also faced MAC foes NIU twice (2-0), Western Michigan (1-0) and Ball State (0-1).
WILLIAM & MARY
• W&M is 2-6 on the season and coming off a previous meet hosted by Towson in nearby Upper Marlboro where the Tribe finished fifth out of five teams.
• BGSU head coach Brittney Emmons is in her first season leading the Falcons after spending five seasons at William & Mary where she earned ECAC Assistant Coach of the Year honors.

• BGSU narrowly fell to Ball State as the Falcons notched their best score of the season (194.775).
• Various Falcons enjoyed personal records and season highs, highlighted by Megan Bingham's 39.075 in the All-Around. That is tied for the fourth-best score in the MAC this season.
• Kayla Shaw also led BGSU on an impressive afternoon on floor with a PR of 9.875.
