Falcons Soar in Sweep of Eastern Illinois, 4-0
HAMILTON, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons swept the Eastern Illinois Panthers by a score of 4-0 in Hamilton, Ohio.
The Falcons started off winning the doubles point, taking No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. The Orange and Brown across the three doubles matches gave up only six games.
BGSU followed up the double's success taking the No.1, No. 3 and No. 6 singles. Sophomore Qianyu Liu clinched the sweep and win for the Falcons (2-6, 6-3, 6-2).
"Feels good to be back in the win column, said Head Coach Mike Bonnell. "Now we travel to Bradley, have a day of practice and rest, and then back in competition on Sunday. I was really happy with the energy and level of play today."
