Schedule Update: Saturday Baseball Bumped Up To 1 p.m. For Doubleheader
TOLEDO, Ohio – Due to weather, the schedule for this weekend's Battle of I-75 between Bowling Green and Toledo has changed. The Falcons and Rockets will now resume the series at Scott Park at 1 p.m. on Saturday (May 3), two hours earlier than the originally scheduled time. The teams will play a doubleheader to conclude the series. Any additional changes will be announced on BGSUFalcons.com as well as the BGSU_Baseball Twitter/X page.
The series between BGSU and UT began Friday night (May 2) at Fifth Third Field in Toledo. Paced by a strong start from Jacob Turner and backed by the bat of Zack Horky, the Orange and Brown captured an 8-3 victory in the series opener. Turner tossed six innings, striking out sixth, both career-highs, while giving up just one run. Horky added a three-hit day with a career-high five RBI to push Bowling Green to the win.

- BGSU Baseball Lands Four On CSC Academic All-District® TeamBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Four members of the Bowling Green State University baseball team have been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). Gavin Ganun, Luke Krouse, Landon Willeman and Garrett Wright all were named to the team with Wright being selected as a finalist for CSC Academic All-America status. The Academic All-America teams will be announced on July 1. As for BGSU, the four selections are the second-most for the Falcons in a single season in program history behind only last year's five recipients.
- Falcons Break Multiple Records In Season Finale At MAC TournamentAVON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team concluded the 2025 campaign on Thursday (May 22) in the MAC Tournament. The Falcons first played Toledo in a game that started at 9 a.m., paused at 10:25 a.m. for weather and then resumed at 5 p.m., going to a 14-12 final. BGSU then turned to Eastern Michigan, rallying back in the ninth inning to force extras, but the Eagles took the game in the 10th with a 10-7 final score to conclude the Bowling Green season at 33-21.
- BGSU-Toledo MAC Tournament Game Postponed To Thursday At 9 a.m.AVON, Ohio – Due to current weather conditions and continuing weather conditions through the night, today's game between Bowling Green and Toledo in the first round of the MAC Tournament has been postponed to Thursday (May 22) at 9 a.m. From there, the tournament will proceed as planned, attempting to play four games on Thursday. - Wright’s MAC Defensive Player Of The Year Award Headlines Four All-MAC Honors For BGSUCLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the conference honors for the 2025 season Tuesday morning (May 20). Of those named, BGSU baseball collected four recognitions with two different members of the program being named. Garrett Wright was named the MAC Defensive Player of the Year along with being All-MAC First Team and All-MAC Defensive Team for the second year straight. Connar Penrod joined Wright on the All-MAC First Team list as well.
- BGSU Sets Aim For Avon And MAC Tournament, Beginning With Battle Of I-75AVON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team will head into the MAC Tournament this week in Avon, Ohio as the No. 4 seed in the field. BGSU will begin their portion of the tournament on Wednesday, May 21 with a 6 p.m. first pitch against the Toledo Rockets. With a double elimination bracket that will reseed, the Falcons second game will be on Thursday, May 22 with the time and opponent yet to be determined. The games will be played at Crushers Stadium, the home of the Lake Erie Crushers, and will be available to watch on ESPN+.
