Lauryn Hovey Named MAC Offensive Player Of The Week
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the MAC Players of the Week Monday afternoon (Nov. 18). Of those named, Bowling Green's Lauryn Hovey received this week's Offensive Player of the Week award. For Hovey, this is her 10th career MAC Offensive Player of the Week recognition and her second of the season after being named on Nov. 4 as well.

Setter of the Week: Allie Korba, Central Michigan, Setter
Hovey led the Falcon attack on the way to the MAC Regular Season title, topping the BGSU stat sheet in kills in both matches. Hovey began the weekend with 16 kills in just three sets while maintaining a .387 hitting percentage. She added 12 digs for a double-double in the contest. Hovey followed it up with 23 kills on Saturday over five sets while hitting .405. For the weekend, Hovey averaged an impressive 4.88 kills per set while hitting .397 on 73 attacks.
Up Next
The Falcons will advance to the MAC Tournament, receiving a first bye in the tournament. BGSU's first match will be in the semifinal round on Saturday (Nov. 23) with a 4 p.m. start. The opponent will be determined upon the first round results.

- Season Tickets Now On-Sale For 2025 BGSU Volleyball SeasonBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University ticket office announced Friday morning (April 18) that season tickets for the 2025 volleyball season are now on-sale. This includes both season ticket renewals and new season ticket members. The Falcons previously released the 2025 MAC schedule on April 1. The full schedule for the 2025 season will be released at a later date. Bowling Green is coming off a 2024 season that resulted in a MAC Championship and NIVC Runner-Up finish. The 2025 season will mark the first in the Alex DelPiombo Era of BGVB.
- Falcons Scheduled For Home Spring Match Friday Against FindlayBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University volleyball team will wrap up their spring schedule on Friday (April 18) at home inside the Stroh Center. Bowling Green is scheduled for a 6 p.m. first serve against Findlay. The match between the Falcons and Oilers will be free to attend with doors opening an hour before the match at 5 p.m. Fans looking to attend can utilize the main Stroh Center entrance by the bronze Falcon statue to access the venue.
- BGVB Set To Open Spring Schedule This Weekend With Team Pineapple Spring TournamentBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University volleyball team will open their 2025 spring schedule on Saturday (April 5) with three matches at the Team Pineapple Spring Tournament. The date will be the first of three currently on the schedule for the Falcons with five matches in total on the spring slate. The Team Pineapple Spring Tournament will be hosted by the Team Pineapple Volleyball Club in Angola, Ind.

- BGVB Announces Addition Of Carter, Wharton As Assistant CoachesBOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University head volleyball coach Alex DelPiombo announced two hirings to her staff for the Orange and Brown. DelPiombo and the Falcons will welcome Chelsi Carter and Alexa Wharton as assistant coaches. Carter will arrive in Bowling Green from Alabama as an assistant while Wharton comes from Tiffin University where she served as the program's head coach for the past two seasons.
- Coaches Show Set For Full Slate With Simon, Chmiel, DelPiombo Joining Monday NightBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The weekly Falcons Nest Coaches Show presented by Fricker's, returns Monday night (Jan. 13) on Falcon Sports Radio Network stations. The "Voice of the Falcons" Todd Walker will be joined by three guests over the course of the show. Head men's basketball coach Todd Simon will leadoff this week followed by head women's basketball coach Fred Chmiel and the newly named head volleyball coach Alex DelPiombo. The show will begin at 6 p.m. inside Fricker's where fans can watch live.
