BGSU Baseball Lands Eight On Academic All-MAC Team
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the Academic All-MAC list for the 2026 baseball season Tuesday morning (June 9). Of those named, Bowling Green had eight players named to the list. The Falcons have now had at least eight players named in each of head coach Kyle Hallock's six seasons at Bowling Green. Prior to Hallock, the single-season high for the Falcons was five Academic All-MAC recipients, hitting the mark in both 2018 and 2019. The list of recipients this year for BGSU includes Luke Krouse, Zack Horky, Carrson Sova, Sam Seidel, CJ Boudreaux, Carter Mottice, Titus Lotz and Ty Roder.
BGSU Baseball Matches Program Record With Five On CSC Academic All-District® Team
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Five members of the Bowling Green State University baseball team have been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). Andrew Heffernan, Zack Horky, Luke Krouse, Sam Seidel and Ethan Stade all were named to the team with Stade being selected as a finalist for CSC Academic All-America status. The Academic All-America teams will be announced on July 1. As for BGSU, the five selections are tied for the most for the Falcons in a single season in program history, matching the total from the 2024 campaign.
Ethan Stade Earns All-MAC First Team Honor
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the conference honors for the 2026 baseball season Wednesday morning (May 20). Of those named, Bowling Green's Ethan Stade was named All-MAC First Team following a historic season for the senior left-handed pitcher. Stade continues a stretch of four straight seasons with a Falcon being named to the All-MAC First Team with a total of seven first team selections over the four-year span. The stretch is the longest since 2008-11 when eight Falcons were named over those four seasons.
Falcons Conclude Season In Doubleheader Action Against Ball State Friday
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team wrapped up the 2026 season Friday (May 15) with a doubleheader at Ball State. The Falcons jumped out to 2-0 leads in both games and nearly completed a comeback in the first game of the day with a ninth inning score. However, Ball State managed to hold on for both contests, taking the first in a 6-5 final and the second 10-2. Over the two games, the Falcons utilized 24 different players, including seven seniors. The two games marked the conclusion of BGSU's season with the regular season coming to a close.
Mottice’s Four-Hit Day Paces Falcons In Series Opener At Ball State
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team began the weekend series against Ball State on Thursday (May 14) with a back-and-forth contest. BSU scored first, but the Falcons battled back with two runs in the fifth for a 2-1 lead. The Cardinals answered in the bottom half to reclaim their advantage. A similar sequence followed in the seventh with the Falcons knotting it up only for Ball State to again find a response and reclaim the edge, leading to a 6-3 final. The result secured the final spot in the MAC Tournament for Ball State, ending Bowling Green's bid for the postseason.
