BGSU Hockey Ready for Bounce Back Hosting Michigan Tech on Friday and Saturday

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (5-4-1, CCHA 2-1-1) will look to defend home ice against the Michigan Tech Huskies (6-4-0, 4-2-0) on Friday and Saturday. Both games will be played in Bowling Green, Ohio at Slater Family Ice Arena. This will mark the 56th and 57th time these two program have met.

Match-Up History
Michigan Tech leads the series all time with a 23-27-5 record overall. The last time these two teams met on March 9, 2024, the Huskies came away with a 6-5 victory. The Falcons are winless in the last five meetings between the two teams. BGSU will look for their first series sweep of the Huskies since Jan. 30, 2021.

  • The Huskies are coming off their first two losses in conference play, both to #17 Minnesota State 
  • Michigan Tech is currently receiving votes in the USCHO and USA Today/USA Hockey polls, this will be the third ranked or receiving votes opponent for the Falcons this season.

  • The Falcons are coming off a bye week after earning two points against the Tommies the weekend before.
  • In the shootout win for BGSU, sophomore Breck McKinley recorded his first collegiate goal and first assists of the season. For his performance against the Tommies, he was named CCHA Defenseman of the Week for the first time in his career.
  • BGSU is currently 1-2-0 against opponents that are ranked or receiving votes in the polls. 
  • Sophomore Brody Waters is currently tied for the CCHA lead in goals per game at .60/game with Michigan Tech's Stiven Sardarian and leading in powerplay goals
  • On Friday, graduate Tommy Pasanen will be playing in his 100th career game. 
  • After Saturday's game, BGSU Hockey will be hosting an Autograph Night, where fans can meet the players and receive their autograph on a limited-edition poster in the lobby of Slater Family Ice Arena.
