Women of Color Leadership Panel at the Black Issues Conference

Tuesday, February 25, 2025 9:30–11:30 AM
  • Location
    Bowen-Thompson Student Union, 207
  • Description
Join the Center for Women and Gender Equity on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in BTSU 207 for the Women of Color Leadership Summit, an annual event that brings women of color activist-scholars to BGSU to discuss the contributions women of color have made to leadership, activism, and advocacy in their communities and more broadly. This year, the CWGE is collaborating with the Center for Student Connection and Opportunity to integrate the Women of Color Leadership event into the 25th annual Black Issues Conference--allowing us to create a Women of Color Leadership track with invited panelists in the morning sessions and other presenters in the afternoon. This year, our panel includes Ash Moon, the Anti-Human Trafficking Specialist and Shelter Advocate at The Cocoon; licensed independent social worker, community advocate, and champion for health equity, BreAnn Nelson; and Kelli Daniels, owner and lead consultant of JAYRAMON LLC.Guest speakers will participate in a moderated panel from 9:30-10:25 am, followed by an in-depth Q&A session from 10:30 - 11:25 am. If you are unable to attend the first session, you may still attend the second. To RSVP, please contact cwge@bgsu.edu and indicate if you would like to attend virtually or in-person.
