- Mar 126:00 PMStudy Nights in the RADNeed a location to study with your friends? Want to work on a group project? Or just want to be around other students to hold yourself accountable? Take action by coming to study in the Radbill Center on Wednesday nights from 6-8pm. These study sessions will be hosted by Life Design Student Ambassadors who bring fun energy to long study nights! Study Nights in the Rad begin January 29th and continue until April 23rd. Snacks will be provided!The Radbill Center, known as the RAD, is a space for all students to find their place on campus. With a coffee (and tea and hot chocolate) station, along with tables and comfortable seating, the RAD is a great place to hang out, study, work on group projects or relax! - Mar 127:30 PM"The Legacies of James Baldwin": A Poetry Reading and Lecture with Saeed JonesIn celebration of the James Baldwin Centennial, poet and cultural critic Saeed Jones will give a poetry reading and lecture.Saeed Jones is the author of the memoir HOW WE FIGHT FOR OUR LIVES (Simon & Schuster), winner of the 2019 Kirkus Prize for Nonfiction and the poetry collection PRELUDE TO BRUISE (Coffee House Books), winner for the 2015 PEN/Joyce Osterweil Award for Poetry. His poetry and essays have appeared in the New Yorker, New York Times, Oxford American and GQ among other publications. His most recent book ALIVE AT THE END OF THE WORLD (Coffee House Press) won the 2023 Anisfield-Wolf Book Award for Poetry.Jones is also the 2024-2025 artist-in-residence in the Media, Health and Medicine program at Harvard Medical School. His next book HOME OUT THERE, a memoir, is forthcoming from Washington Square Press. He co-hosts the podcast VIBE CHECK with Sam Sanders and Zach Stafford.
