The Moon Speakers Series – Night of the Eclipse: A Cosmic Journey for Families Presented by WBGU-PBS

    Families, do you want to learn about the science behind the upcoming lunar eclipse? Join WBGU-PBS for an engaging program to explore the wonders of the moon! Discover how the phases of the moon work and why it appears to change shape in the sky. Learn what causes a lunar eclipse and why the moon turns red during a total eclipse. Each family will receive a free STEM kit and a book to continue the learning at home (while supplies last). Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to uncover the mysteries of our closest celestial neighbor!This program is the first in a series of six sessions hosted by the BGSU Planetarium on a wide range of interdisciplinary topics, each with a connection to astronomy. Programs in the series will be every Thursday evening starting March 13 and running through April 17. All of “The Moon Speakers Series” events are free and open to the public.
