NPHC was founded in 1930 at Howard University in Washington, D.C., with the purpose of fostering unity and cooperation among its member organizations and advocating for the interests of Black college students. Public lecture by Toledo Museum of Art Director of Curatorial Affairs, Anna O. MarleyThis talk will offer a sneak peek at some of the curatorial approaches for Transformation 27 at the Toledo Museum of Art and will also show how Dr. Marley's curatorial work and Ph.D. training have led her to this moment. The talk will provide an overview of her education and training as a curator, her acquisitions and exhibitions work in American Art at PAFA, and then will discuss how she transitioned her curatorial approach to a leadership role within a global collection at the Toledo Museum of Art.
