Campbell, Glover, Wol Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Three members of the Bowling Green State University men's basketball team have been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). The teams were announced Tuesday afternoon (March 24). Javontae Campbell, Troy Glover II and Mayar Wol were all named to the team. The Falcons have now had at least one Academic All-District member in three-straight seasons, a program record. Campbell will be eligible for Academic All-America consideration. The All-America selections will be announced on April 14.
Battle Of I-75 Comes Down To Final Shot Once Again As Falcons Fall Short In MAC Quarterfinals
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team faced off with the rival Toledo Rockets in the MAC Quarterfinals Thursday (March 12). The two teams battled back and forth, exchanging the lead 10 times with six ties along the way. The game came down to the final shot for the third time in the last four meetings between the two, this time going the way of Toledo in a 77-76 final score.
Campbell Named MAC Defensive Player Of The Year Among Trio Of MAC Accolades
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced the MAC Awards for the 2025-26 men's basketball season Wednesday morning (March 11). Of those named, the Falcons collected three different honors from the conference, all earned by Javontae Campbell. Campbell earned the MAC Defensive Player of the Year Award as well as being All-MAC First Team and All-MAC Defensive Team.
Javontae Campbell Named Finalist For Lefty Driesell Award
BOSTON, Mass. – CollegeInsider.com announced the finalists for the 2026 Lefty Driesell Award Tuesday afternoon (March 10). Of the 25 players named as finalists across the nation, Bowling Green senior guard Javontae Campbell was a recipient. The award is presented annually to the top defensive player in Division I college basketball. The recipient is determined by a 10-member voting committee, consisting of current and former head coaches as well as two senior staff members of CollegeInsider.com. The 2026 award will be announced in Indianapolis, Ind., site of the men's Division I Basketball Championship.
BGSU Bound For Battle Of I-75 MAC Quarterfinals Rubber Match Thursday In Cleveland
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will embark on this year's MAC Tournament, beginning with a rivalry rubber match. Bowling Green starts the postseason against the No. 4-seeded Toledo Rockets, facing off at Rocket Arena on Thursday (March 12) in the MAC Quarterfinals. The game will be the second of the day, starting roughly 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one, which should be approximately 1:30 p.m. Follow @BGSUMBB on Twitter/X for updates the morning of the game for an official tip time. The quarterfinal round will be available to stream on ESPN+ while Todd Walker will have the radio call on WFRO Eagle 99.
