Falcons Prep For Final Non-Conference Tests Before MACtion Begins
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team will have their final four non-conference tests this week before MAC play begins on March 6. The Falcons will first play their first game in the state of Ohio this season, taking on Cincinnati on Wednesday (Feb. 25) for a 3 p.m. first pitch. From there, the Falcons will transition to their final non-conference weekend of the season, facing off with Samford for a three-game series beginning Friday (Feb. 27). The game against Cincinnati as well as the Friday and Sunday games against Samford are set to be streamed on ESPN+. Tuesday Baseball At Cincinnati Moved To Wednesday
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Due to current and anticipated weather and conditions, Tuesday's (Feb. 23) baseball against the University of Cincinnati has been moved to a Wednesday (Feb. 24) contest. The Falcons and Bearcats are now set for a 3 p.m. first pitch at the UC Baseball Stadium. The game will still be an ESPN+ broadcast.
The Falcons Nest Coaches Show To Feature Simon, Hallock, Gardner Monday Night
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The weekly Falcons Nest Coaches Show presented by Fricker's, returns Monday night (Feb. 22) on Falcon Sports Radio Network stations with a trio of guests. The show will begin at 6 p.m. with head men's basketball coach Todd Simon joining the Voice of the Falcons, Todd Walker. Walker will then be joined by head baseball coach Kyle Hallock around 6:20 p.m. followed by head softball coach Michelle Gardner around 6:40 p.m. All three interviews will be in-person at the Bowling Green Fricker's.
Falcons Tally Program’s 1800th Win, Split Saturday Doubleheader Against Western Carolina
CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team wrapped up the weekend series against Western Carolina with a three-game series on Saturday (Feb. 21). The Falcons rallied for five unanswered runs to take a late lead, holding on for a 6-5 victory and the first win of the 2026 season. In the second contest, the Catamounts battled back for a 5-0 final score, splitting the doubleheader. BGSU will now turn to their first midweek game of the season, currently set for a Tuesday tilt (Feb. 24) at Cincinnati.
Catamounts’ Late Commotion Overcomes Falcons’ Fourth Inning In Friday Loss
CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team opened the weekend series against Western Carolina Friday night (Feb. 20). The Falcons jumped ahead early on with a three-run fourth inning, including a two-run home run off the bat of Anthony Mitta. However, the Catamounts worked to chip away at the BGSU lead, overcoming the score with two runs in the seventh to take a 4-3 advantage, leading to the eventual final. BGSU and WCU will conclude the series on Saturday (Feb. 21) at 1 p.m. with a doubleheader due to a schedule change.
