Formerly the Freddie and Frieda 5K, this fan-favorite event now honors legendary Falcon and Olympic gold medalist Dave Wottle ‘73, who captured the world’s attention with his iconic 800-meter victory in 1972.The 5K kicks off at the Alumni Gateway and winds through campus, finishing near McDonald Hall – just steps from the BiG Breakfast at The Oaks.
