Poets&Quants ranked the program as Ohio’s best for the second consecutive year

The Bowling Green State University Online MBA program in the nationally recognized Schmidthorst College of Business has once again been ranked No. 1 in Ohio by Poets&Quants, a distinguished recognition of the nation’s best graduate business schools.

In its 2025 rankings, the business publication also ranked the BGSU Online MBA program among the top in the nation, placing it at No. 36 overall. The rankings are based on the University’s commitment to rigorous academic standards, student experience and employment outcomes.

“A BGSU business education stands as one of the finest in the nation, and this ranking is a testament to our unwavering commitment to our students’ success and growth," said Dr. Jennifer Percival, dean of the Schmidthorst College of Business. "Our dynamic Online MBA program is designed to empower learners from all backgrounds, equipping them with advanced knowledge and innovative tools to excel in any business-related career. We take immense pride in being recognized for fostering a student-centered environment that supports opportunity, engagement and leadership development.”

The BGSU Online MBA program provides students with the same quality and engaging learning opportunities offered in the University's face-to-face classes. Students learn from world-class faculty with opportunities to contribute to industry-changing research while bolstering their careers.

Through the AACSB-accredited program, students can study emerging trends in managerial accounting, marketing management and strategy, financial management in global environments, strategy design and implementation, and business ethics and law.

“We are excited to be ranked No. 1 in Ohio again, “ said Connie Disbro, assistant director of the Online MBA program. “Students choose our program because of our dedication to providing high-quality education, flexible options for working professionals and outstanding support services.”

In addition to the recognition from Poets&Quants, the BGSU Online MBA program also received recognition from Fortune and U.S. News & World Report as a top program in Ohio and the country in 2024. The Schmidthorst College of Business has also been designated as a “Best Business School” in the Midwest by The Princeton Review for 14 consecutive years.

BGSU is the only university in Ohio, and one of 10 nationally, to earn the Quality Matters Online Learner Support certificate for all of its online programs, reflecting the high level of support and critical student and academic services BGSU Online provides.

Committed to keeping education accessible, BGSU continues to waive GRE and GMAT testing for most graduate degrees and certificates, including the Online MBA program. All other required documents must still be submitted for admission consideration.
