BG Tennis Opens MAC Play with Close 4-3 Loss to Buffalo
OWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Tennis (9-5, MAC 0-1) team dropped a hard-fought match to the Buffalo Bulls (14-2, MAC 1-0) by a score of 4-3. In the loss, three Falcons: Qianyu Liu, Leticia Fonseca and Lucia Gaio all picked up wins in singles in tiebreakers.
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Tennis (9-5, MAC 0-1) team dropped a hard-fought match to the Buffalo Bulls (14-2, MAC 1-0) by a score of 4-3. In the loss, three Falcons: Qianyu Liu, Leticia Fonseca and Lucia Gaio all picked up wins in singles in tiebreakers.
The Falcons started the match dropping the doubles point and No 1, No. 2 and No. 4 singles. For BGSU, the bright spots of the match came in No. 3 and No. 5 – No.6 singles. Notably, in No. 6 singles Lucia Gaio came back from dropping a close first set to force a tie breaker and picked up the come from behind win.
