Bowling Green Releases 2026 Baseball Schedule, Headlined By March 17 Home OpenerBOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University baseball team and Head Coach Kyle Hallock announced the schedule for the upcoming 2026 schedule. The Falcons will be embarking on their sixth season under Coach Hallock after going 33-22 a year ago with a 19-11 standing within the Mid-American Conference. The record granted BGSU back-to-back 30-win seasons for the first time since 2001-02. The 2026 schedule is currently set to see 21 non-conference games, against 14 different non-conference opponents, and 33 conference contests.

Men’s Hoops To Open 2025-26 Campaign Monday Night With First Of Three Straight Home GamesBOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will kickoff the 2025-26 season Monday night (Nov. 3) inside the Stroh Center, hosting Texas State for a 7 p.m. tip. The game will mark the first of three-straight home games for the Falcons to open the season, also hosting Bethany College on Nov. 6 and Le Moyne on Nov. 9. The game against Texas State will be part of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge, now entering its third season. BGSU is 2-0 at home during the challenge and 2-2 overall. The game between the Falcons and Bobcats will be available to stream on ESPN+ with a radio feed from Todd Walker on WFRO Eagle 99.
Falcons Wrap Up Pre-Season Against Dayton In Final ExhibitionDAYTON, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team concluded their preseason slate on Monday (Oct. 27) against the Dayton Flyers. The game marked the second exhibition for the Falcons after facing No. 22 Michigan State last Thursday (Oct. 23). Bowling Green took a lead into the halftime break, ahead 30-27, but the Flyers erupted in the second half to capture a 90-59 final. For the Falcons, Javon Ruffin led the way with 20 points, going a near perfect 8-of-9 from the field. Javontae Campbell added 10 points as well. Bowling Green will now shift to the regular season, opening with the first of three straight home games on Monday (Nov. 3) against Texas State at 7 p.m. inside the Stroh Center.

Falcons Close Out Saturday Home Slate With Loss To BuffaloBOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University football team hosted the Buffalo Bulls on Saturday (Nov. 1) to begin the month of November. Buffalo came away with a 28-3 victory for the final score. For BGSU, the points came from a 51-yard field goal by Jackson Kleather in the fourth quarter. Bowling Green will now transition to the road next weekend at Eastern Michigan with a 1 p.m. kick in Ypsilanti.

BGSU shot a 904 (+52) and finished 14th in the tournament. The tournament was held at Moraine Country Club, a par 71 course with a total yardage of 6,916.

The Falcons jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second period, but two third period goals from the Beavers forced the game into overtime. In the overtime frame, Bemidji escaped with a 3-2 victory off a goal by Hudson Thornton.
Falcons Battle to Earn Point in Home OpenerBOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The BGSU ice hockey team battled the Beavers of Bemidji State in their home opener on Friday night. The game ended 4-4 after regulation, but the Beavers came out victorious in a shootout to earn the extra point in the CCHA standings. Bowling Green battled from two goals down to secure a point and remain level with the Beavers in the CCHA standings.

Women's Golf Finishes Fall Season With 5th Place Finish in KansasMANHATTAN, Kans. — The BGSU women's golf team competed at the Powercat Invitational this week, hosted by Kansas State. The Falcons put on another impressive display, as they shot a 923 and finished fifth in the tournament. The Powercat was held at Colbert Hills in Manhattan, Kans., a par 72 course with a total yardage of 6,446.

Falcons Fall To Miami (OH) In Weekend FinaleOXFORD, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University volleyball team wrapped up the weekend series against Miami (OH) on Saturday (Nov. 1) with a 3-0 finish against the RedHawks. Bowling Green came out strong in the first set, but Miami worked to tie it up before moving ahead later in the set. The momentum for the RedHawks carried into the second and third sets as well for the 3-0 final score. The loss moves Bowling Green to an even .500 on the season and in MAC play, being 13-13 on the year and 7-7 within the Mid-American Conference.
Falcons Fight RedHawks To Final Point In Back-And-Forth Five-SetterOXFORD, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University volleyball team played their fourth five-set match in their last six contests, taking on Miami (OH) Friday night (Oct. 31). Miami took the first set, but the Falcons rallied back in the second set, claiming the set in extra points, 29-27. A similar sequence followed in the third and fourth sets with the fourth set going to BGSU, 27-25. In the fifth, the teams continued to battle back-and-forth, but the RedHawks claimed the set and the match. In total, the match included 39 ties and 15 lead changes over the five sets played. BGSU moves to 13-12 on the season while being 7-6 in the MAC with the second match against Miami set for a 4 p.m. start on Saturday (Nov. 1).
