BGSU Student-Athletes Launch Annual MAC Canned Food & Hygiene Product Drive Falcons Compete with Toledo to Support the Falcon Food Pantry

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is once again sponsoring the annual MAC Canned Food and Hygiene Product Drive, a friendly competition with the University of Toledo to support local food security initiatives. All collected items will be donated to the Falcon Food Pantry to benefit members of the BGSU community.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is once again sponsoring the annual MAC Canned Food and Hygiene Product Drive, a friendly competition with the University of Toledo to support local food security initiatives. All collected items will be donated to the Falcon Food Pantry to benefit members of the BGSU community.

From November 1 through November 24, fans are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items and hygiene products at ticketed home athletic events or drop-off locations at the Stroh Center ticket office and Slater Family Ice Arena. The event will officially kick off Friday, Nov. 1, during the football game at Doyt L. Perry Stadium.

Collection Opportunities

Donations can be made at the following home events:
Football:

  • Nov. 1 and Nov. 18 — Collection bins located at Gates 1, 3, and 7

Hockey: (Bring a donation and receive a free ticket to the event)

  • Nov. 1, Nov. 14, and Nov. 15

Men's Basketball: (Bring a donation and receive a free ticket to the event)

  • Nov. 3, Nov. 6, Nov. 9, and Nov. 19

Volleyball: (Bring a donation and receive a free ticket to the event)

  • Nov. 7 and Nov. 8

In addition to physical donations, monetary gifts to the Falcon Food Pantry will also count toward the competition total, with $1 equaling one non-perishable item. Fans can scan the QR code available at event locations, or below, to make a contribution online.
