Seven Falcon Hockey Players Land NHL Development Camp Rosters
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Seven Bowling Green State University ice hockey student-athletes have been selected to participate in 2025 National Hockey League (NHL) Development Camps.
Following the conclusion of the 2025 NHL Draft, teams began releasing their development camp rosters, which include both drafted prospects and undrafted players invited as free agents. These week long camps give participants the opportunity to receive NHL-level coaching and evaluation. The eight BGSU players will attend camps across the United States and Canada.
Of the eight players selected, three are returning members of the BG Hockey program:
Cole Moore, Junior, Goaltender, Winnipeg Jets
Gustav Stjernberg, Junior, Defenseman, Los Angeles Kings
Brody Waters, Junior, Forward, Los Angeles Kings
The BG Hockey program also recently earned the title of the No. 1 recruiting class in the country for the upcoming season, and four new faces to the program were also invited to NHL Development Camps:
Rihards Simanovičs, Junior, Defenseman, Colorado Avalanche
Noah Morneau, Freshman, Forward, Los Angeles Kings
Jacob Steinman, Freshman, Goaltender, St. Louis Blues
Mazden Leslie, Freshman, Defenseman, Las Vegas Golden Knights
This year's development camp invitees are yet another example of the BG Hockey program's commitment to recruiting and developing professional level hockey talent, ensuring that players are prepared for a strong career both during their time at BG and beyond.
