BGSU Primed for Falcon Invitational
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green cross country program will host the Falcon Invitational at Mel Brodt Cross Country Course on Friday, Oct. 17. The women's team will run the 6k at 5:10 p.m., following the men's 8k at 4:30 p.m.
This meet comes after a strong showing at the Paul Short Run. In the hills of east Pennsylvania, the women's team finished seventh overall in the 6k, with senior Kylee Cubbison leading the charge, placing 29th overall. The field held 40 teams and over 300 runners, and five Falcons finished in the top 70.
Bowling Green hopes to capitalize on this success at their second, and final, home meet of the season. A MAC-heavy race, Friday's contest includes a slew of ranked teams in the Great Lakes Region. The ninth-ranked Falcons will test themselves against No. 3 Ohio and No. 5 Toledo.
The Falcons season will continue at the MAC Championships in two weeks. They will travel to Buffalo on Nov. 1.
