Carr, Chmiel, Simon Set For Final Coaches Show Of 2024-25 Season
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The weekly Falcons Nest Coaches Show presented by Fricker's, returns Monday night (Feb. 24) on Falcon Sports Radio Network stations for the final show of the season. The show will feature three guests, two in-person and one remote. The show will begin at 6 p.m. in-person with assistant hockey coach Curtis Carr joining Kevin Piel. The show will continue in-person with head women's basketball coach Fred Chmiel. The show will shift to remote for the final guest with head men's basketball coach Todd Simon joining the "Voice of the Falcons" Todd Walker remotely due to the team's travel to Northern Illinois.

For fans unable to make the show in person at Fricker's, the show can be heard locally on WFRO 99.1 FM, 100.7 FM in Toledo, 1280 WONW in Defiance and 970 WFUN in Ashtabula. The hockey team is coming off a win in their final regular season contest, topping Lake Superior State on Saturday (March 1) with a 5-3 final on Senior Night. The win clinched the Falcons home ice in the CCHA Mason Cup Quarterfinals. Bowling Green will serve as host to the Michigan Tech Huskies this weekend. The Best-Of-Three series will begin on Friday (March 7) at 7:07 p.m. with the second game on Saturday (March 8) at 7:07 p.m. and the third on Sunday (March 9), if necessary, at 5:07 p.m.
The women's basketball team will also be embarking on their final week of regular season play. With a spot already clinched in Cleveland for the MAC Tournament, the Falcons are battling for position in the standings and seeding. Bowling Green will begin the week on Wednesday (March 5) with the final home game of their season, being against Kent State at 7 p.m. The regular season will wrap up on Saturday (March 8) on the road at Eastern Michigan with a 2 p.m. tip.
The men's basketball team is in the midst of winning three straight, including six of their last eight, as they enter the final week of the regular season. The Falcons are in a heated MAC standings race for spots in the MAC Tournament. Bowling Green will first head on the road to Northern Illinois on Tuesday (March 4) before returning home against Western Michigan on Friday (March 7) for a must-win regular season finale against the Broncos. Both games this week are scheduled for 7 p.m. tips.
