BGSU Athletics to Host "Decades Celebration" During 2025 Homecoming Weekend
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University Athletics is proud to announce its "Decades Celebration" as part of the 2025 Homecoming Weekend, taking place Sept.11–14, with the Homecoming football game set for Saturday, Sept. 13 at 5 p.m. when the Falcons take on Liberty at Doyt Perry Stadium.
The Decades Celebration invites all BGSU alumni, students, faculty, staff, and fans to return to campus, with special recognition for those who were part of the BGSU community during key anniversary years: 2015, 2005, 1995, 1985, 1975, and 1965. Whether you were a student, professor, staff member, a proud Townie—or one of the many BGSU Alumni, BGSU Athletics alumni, and those who supported these student-athletes with our alumni during these years—this celebration is for you.
In the months leading up to Homecoming, BGSUFalcons.com will feature stories, moments, and accomplishments from each anniversary year, highlighting the unique spirit and athletic achievements that defined those eras on campus.
As part of the weekend festivities, former BGSU student-athletes are invited to a special Decades Party on Friday night, Sept. 12, at Juniper on Main Street—a chance to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the legacy of Falcon Athletics. Be on the lookout for specific communication from BGSU Athletics on this event.
The BGSU Decades Celebration continues Saturday with the All-Alumni Celebration along Decades Drive—a vibrant walk through BGSU history where each tent represents a different era of Falcon pride. Whether you're reconnecting with classmates, flipping through vintage yearbooks, or visiting the Golden Falcons tent (a cozy spot for our alumni celebrating 50+ years), it's the perfect way to celebrate your place in the BGSU family and relive the memories that shaped your time on campus.
