BGSU Hosts Eastern Michigan in Conference Dual
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons swimming and diving team will host conference foe Eastern Michigan on Friday, Nov. 7, at Cooper Pool. Fans are encouraged to show their support by sporting orange for the "Orange Wave" theme.
Bowling Green (6-0, 1-0) enters the matchup undefeated on the season. The Falcons opened the year emphatically at the IU Indy Invite, routing IU‑Indianapolis (211.5‑87.5), Saint Louis (233‑66), Xavier (202‑91), Butler (239‑54) and Bellarmine (248‑45).
On Oct. 18, BGSU picked up its first conference dual win since 2022 by defeating Miami (Ohio) 131‑112. Sophomore standout Samia Becdach earned MAC Swimmer of the Week honors for the second time this season after that win.
Eastern Michigan, meanwhile, opened the season with a strong showing over Illinois State (244‑126), but have struggled in MAC duals. The Eagles narrowly lost to Toledo (184‑185) and fell to Akron (70‑110) last week.
The upcoming dual presents a chance for Bowling Green to cement its early momentum, while Eastern Michigan seeks to rebound and gain traction in conference play. Cooper Pool sets the stage for the Falcons to build on their season start Friday night.
