Twelve BGSU Student-Athletes Earn 2025 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The 1A Faculty Athletics Representatives (1A FAR) Board has announced the recipients of the 2025 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award, with 12 Bowling Green State University student-athletes among those honored.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The 1A Faculty Athletics Representatives (1A FAR) Board has announced the recipients of the 2025 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award, with 12 Bowling Green State University student-athletes among those honored.

The award recognizes outstanding student-athletes for their significant accomplishments in the classroom while competing at the highest level of college sports. To qualify, honorees must graduate with a cumulative GPA of 3.80 or higher and have participated in at least two years of NCAA intercollegiate athletics at a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) institution. Award recipients, nominated by their institutions, represent student-athletes from the 10 FBS conferences and the FBS independents.

BGSU's honorees include:

  • Raegan Burkey —Track & Field / Women's Cross Country  
  • Blane Cleaver — Football 
  • Lexi Czerwien — Women's Soccer  
  • Jaden Frigerio — Women's Soccer  
  • Isabelle Gilmore — Women's Soccer 
  • Dom Grguric — Football 
  • Darin Hudak — Men's Golf 
  • Lily Kaiser —Swimming & Diving
  • Kennady Kreinbrink —Gymnastics
  • Charlie Nowinski — Men's Cross Country. 
  • Wynnie Reid — Softball 
  • Mia Tyler —Volleyball
