Bowling Green to Host the Battle of I-75
• Bowling Green State University returns home on Saturday to face the Toledo Rockets in the Battle of I-75.
• This will be the 90th meeting between the Falcons and Rockets, whose campuses are just 25 miles apart.
• Saturday's Orange Wave game also marks BGSU's 300th all-time game at Doyt Perry Stadium, which opened on Oct. 1, 1966.
Bowling Green vs. Toledo
• The annual quest for the Battle of I-75 Trophy continues as Bowling Green takes on Toledo.
• Toledo leads the all-time series, 43-42-4.
• Since 2000, Bowling Green is 2-0 vs. UT when holding the Rockets below 300 yards of total offense.
• Since 2000, Bowling Green is 7-5 vs. UT when recording 400+ yards of total offense.
• Since 2000, Bowling Green is 7-3 vs. UT when winning the turnover battle, but 0-6 when they don't. The Falcons are 2-3 when turnovers are even.

• RB Cameron Pettaway ranks No. 1 in the nation in kick return average (37.3). He also leads the country in kick returns of 30+ yards (4), 40+ yards (3), and 50+ yards (2). Pettaway's 37.3 yards per kick return rank No. 9 in FBS history (since 1995) for best kick return average through a season's first five games with at least nine returns.
• LB Gideon Lampron is one of seven players nationally with 44+ tackles, 4.5+ TFLs, 1.5+ sacks, and 1+ passes defended.
• CB Kal-El Pascal is one of only seven players in the nation with 35+ tackles, 1+ interception, 1+ forced fumble, and 1+ pass breakup.
• PK Jackson Kleather is tied for No. 2 in the nation with 12 made field goals. He is also one of four FBS players with three made field goals of 49 yards or longer, joining Tate Sandell (Oklahoma), Gianni Spetic (Memphis), and Drew Stevens (Iowa).

• BGSU already has four rushes of 30+ yards in 2025 through five games. The Falcons had seven such runs through 13 games in 2024.

Caden Marshall is Next Man Up
• LB Caden Marshall has stepped into the starting rotation following the season-ending injury to LB Dorian Pringle. Marshall has totaled 12 tackles, 2.0 TFLs, 1.0 sack, and 1 PBU in three games.
• Marshall is averaging 0.7 TFLs per game, which ranks tied for No. 2 nationally among freshman linebackers.
• Marshall is one of seven freshman defensive players (true or redshirt) with at least 12 tackles, 2.0+ TFLs, 1.0+ sack, and 1+ PBU this season. Despite playing only three games, the other six on the list have each appeared in at least five.
• Pringle suffered his season-ending injury against Liberty (Game 3). At the time, he led the nation with 6.0 TFLs and still ranks No. 35 nationally despite missing the last two games.
• Marshall came to BGSU in 2025 after redshirting the 2024 season at Tennessee State.

- Falcons Fall To Ohio In MAC Opener, 35-20ATHENS, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University football team opened the Mid-American Conference portion of the schedule on Saturday (Sept. 27) against the Ohio Bobcats. A defensive-heavy game, the Falcons came up short to the Bobcats in the 35-20. The BGSU defensive unit forced a fumble and an interception while recording two sacks. However, the Ohio defense responded similarly, winning the turnover battle on the way to the final score.
