• BGSU led for nearly the entire game, but the Rockets drove 85 yards for the go-ahead score with just 51 seconds remaining. McDonald responded by completing two crucial third-and-long passes on the ensuing drive, first connecting with Christian Sims to move the ball to the UT 42-yard line.
• A few plays later, McDonald—who threw for a career-high 395 yards—scrambled to his right and found Keith on a short pass. Keith then broke several tackles on his way to the end zone.
