Men's Golf Earns President's Special Recognition for Team GPA
NORMAN, Okla – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has released its list of team academic award recipients for the 2024-25 season, presented by Platform Golf. The BGSU Men's Golf team has earned Presidents Special Recognition honors for achieving an overall team GPA of 3.5 or above.
BGSU was one of just 75 teams in NCAA Division I to earn Presidents Special Recognition, and one of 292 teams across all six divisions of collegiate golf to earn a Team Academic Award.
"July has been a proud month for the Falcons for many years." Stated Head Coach John Powers, "This award, combined with our All-America Scholars, is a testament to the diligent work our students put in on and off the course."
The release comes just a week after BGSU golfers Darin Hudak and Evan Johnson earned Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better and maintaining a sub 76.0 stroke average over their careers.
