BGSU Men’s Golf Signs Garcia and Geber for the 2025-26 Academic Year
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University head men's golf coach, John Powers, has announced Pedro Garcia and Filip Geber have signed with the Falcons for the 2025-26 academic year.
Garcia and Geber will join LT Harris in the signing class for the Falcons, after Harris signed earlier this year. The pair will join Ethan Irvine and Andrew Lee, both from Canada, as international student-athletes on the roster.
"We're thrilled to finalize our incoming Freshmen for the class of 2025 with Filip and Pedro", said Head Coach John Powers. "Both students will come in with impressive resumes, are well-travelled and can move the golf ball at a high level. Their enthusiasm for a potential opportunity at BGSU stood out every step of the way as we navigated this process. Along with LT Harris and our returning student athletes, there is a true passion for the game of golf and a deep appreciation for the Bowling Green community."
Pedro Garcia – Madrid, Spain
Pedro Garcia will join the Falcons from Madrid, Spain. Garcia has five top 10 finishes in World Ranked Events (WAGR) in 2024 including one victory at the Campeonato Absoluto de Golf Los Lagos (WAGR) with a score of 71-72-69. The Spaniard was selected to represent Spain in international competition against France and represented his country as a member of U18 national team. Currently , Garcia is the seventh ranked U18 player in Spain by the European Golf Rankings (EGR). Garcia will be the first Spanish golfer for the Falcons since Pablo Herdeia Iglesis, who was a member of BGSU men's golf from 2015-2019.
Filip Geber – Sollentuna, Sweden
Filip Geber will join the Falcons from Sweden, as the second Swede on the roster along with assistant coach Noah Barth. Geber has five top three finishes in the National Swedish Junior Tournament in 2024, including two runner-up performances in the Swedish Junior Tour with a score of 69-68-137(-7) and in the Svartinge Junior Open (WAGR) with a score of 72-70-72-214(-2). Currently, Geber is ranked 19th in Sweden among 18-year-olds.
