Gibson Records Career Day Flying Falcon’s into Fourth Place at the Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.- The Bowling Green men's golf team finished fourth out of 15 teams at the Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate. The two-day event was held at the Katke-Cousins Golf Course, par-72, 7,2739-yard course in Rochester Hills, Mich.
Seniors Darin Hudak and Zander Gibson led all BGSU golfers and finished tied for No.14, while senior Evan Johnson finished No.25. In the third round, Zander Gibson shot -7 under par which helped the Falcons jump three spots into fourth.
The freshman traveled to Munice, Ind. to compete in the Put Me In Coach Invitational as individuals. The two-day event was held at the Delaware Country Club, par-70, 6,438-yard course. Freshman Andrew Lee was the highest finisher from BGSU tied for No.18 shooting 74-75-71-220 (+1).

- BGSU recorded the third best third round finishing even and recorded a top 5 finish for the first time since 10/03/2023
- Senior Zander Gibson had a career low shooting a 65(-7) in the third round, which was the best round in the tournament while finishing tied for No.14

"The course was a very difficult test of golf and it was great to have a couple outstanding rounds in our team scoring from Darin and Zander. We fought off some big numbers early and were able to grind out some depth scores when we needed it. "
