Bentley, Weber Lead Falcons at Paul Short

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bowling Green men's cross country team finished 24th as a team in the men's brown race, totaling 653 points.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bowling Green men's cross country team finished 24th as a team in the men's brown race, totaling 653 points.

On a warm Friday afternoon, the charge was led by Micah Bentley (54th) and Bryce Weber (135th). Both set new 8k PRs, as Bentley ran a 25:37.2 and Weber a 26:23.3.

Sophomore Luke Lesseuer was back on the course after injury, notching a 26:27.2 in his return. Owen Zaumeyer was not far behind at 26:35.9, and Luke Woolard finished with a 26:42.3 mark.

Freshman Wyatt Ulbricht improved on his 8k two weeks prior at George Dales by over 30 seconds, crossing the finish at 26:51.4.

Ashton Boyd (27:26.6) and Isaak Rubley (27:53.5) rounded out the field for the Falcons.

"The men took a strong step forward today," Said Coach Associate Head Cross Country Coach Rachel Rhynard, "They worked well together throughout the race, just as we had emphasized. It was also great to have Luke Lesseuar healthy and back in the lineup."

The Falcons will return to Bowling Green in two weeks for the Falcon Invitational on Oct. 17 at 4:30 p.m.
