NORTON, Ohio – In their season debut at Akron's Tommy Evans Invitational, the Bowling Green men's cross country team placed eighth at the beautiful Silver Creek Cross Country Course where the NCAA Great Lakes Regional will take place in November.

After a 25-minute rain delay, the 6K race kicked off and by the end Micah Bentley – who grew up just 30 minutes from the course in Stow – led all Falcon runners with a 19:45.1, good for 47th amongst the pack. Luke Woolard and Charlie Nowinski ran side by side placing 74th (20:40.1) and 75th (20:41.2), respectfully.

Hunter Sidle (83rd, 21:08.4) and Bryce Weber (21:58.5) rounded out the rest of the Falcons.

BG will head to Ball State for the We Fly Championship Preview on Saturday, September 14 for their next meet.
