Bethlehem Bound BGSU Prepares for Paul Short Collegiate Open
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bowling Green cross country program will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. for the 51st annual Paul Short Collegiate Open on Oct. 3.
The meet, hosted by Lehigh University, is one of the largest collegiate cross country events in the country. Bowling Green will line up against programs from across the region and beyond, providing the Falcons with a chance to measure themselves against high-level competition midway through the fall slate.
The men's team will run in the brown race, an 8k, against 38 teams. Meanwhile the women's team will compete in the 6k gold race against 39 teams.
Including BGSU, this meet features 17 top 10 regionally ranked women's teams. Within that, seven of those schools are top 5 in their region. Two top 20 teams, Penn State (15) and Georgetown (20) are in the field. In MAC play, Central Michigan will compete, currently ranked 15 th in the Great Lakes region.
