Meet Preview: Cross Country Travels to Hudson Hills for Michigan Open
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's and women's cross country teams begin their 2025 season Friday, Aug. 29, at the Michigan Open. The meet is hosted by the University of Michigan at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter, Mich. The men's 5k race begins at 5 p.m. and the women's 5k starts at 5:30 p.m.
The Falcons will face off against Siena Heights University and the University of Michigan, providing a varied field of NAIA and Big Ten competition. Hudson Mills Metropark's rugged trails near the Huron River promise a challenging and scenic opener. The Michigan Open stands as an early litmus test for BG's men's and women's cross-country squads. With no prior season results to gauge, BGSU will aim to establish early momentum heading into conference and regional competition.
Following this debut, the Falcons will return home for the Mel Brodt Collegiate Open on Sept. 12.
