Bowling Green State University women's basketball coach Fred Chmiel has announced the signing of two student-athletes. Denza Allen (Sunbury, Ohio) and Ky'Aira Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio) will join the Falcon family for the 2025-26 academic year.

Allen, a 6-1 wing, is a senior at Big Walnut H.S. She was an All-Ohio Honorable-Mention selection in Division I last season, and also earned All-Central District Third-Team honors for coach Carey Largent. She helped lead Big Walnut to a 22-3 overall record and an Ohio Capital Conference (OCC) Capital Division championship last season, as the team advanced to the district semifinals. Allen has played AAU ball for Sports City Angels.

"Denza is a versatile forward that has the skill and athleticism to play on the perimeter, and the toughness and physicality to also play on the interior," said Chmiel. "She will be a great addition to our roster, and will be a fiery competitor our fans will love to watch."

Miller, a 5-6 point guard, is in her senior year at Purcell Marian H.S. She earned All-Ohio Third-Team honors in Division II last season, after garnering all-state honorable mention as a sophomore in 2022-23. Miller has helped lead her team to three consecutive state titles, including the 2022 Division III championship and the Division II title in both 2023 and '24. Head coach Jamar Mosely's squad has also won the Miami Valley Conference crown in each of the last three years. Miller has played AAU ball for West Virginia Thunder.

"Ky'Aira Miller is a true point guard who has led some of the premier talent in the country," said Chmiel. "Her ballhandling and playmaking ability will be tremendous assets to our team, as will her defense and leadership."

The 2024-25 Falcons are home on Saturday (Nov. 16), facing St. Bonaventure in a 12:00 p.m. start at the Stroh Center.
