Ava O’Sullivan earns second career MAC Women’s Golfer of the Week award
Bowling Green, Ohio- Bowling Green State University women's golf student-athlete Ava O'Sullivan was named the MAC Women's Golf Player of the Week for tournaments played through Sept. 11.
O'Sullivan led all BGSU golfers at the Powercat Invitational on Sept. 9-10 placing in seventh while the team secured their second top 5 finish in as many tournaments. O'Sullivan finished the tournament with a score of 75-73-73-221(+5). The Exton, Pa. native shot +1 over par 72 in the final two rounds which helped the Falcons jump five spots to fifth place in the final two rounds.
The junior finished with seven holes under par and her performance at the Powercat Invitational secured the Falcons with their best start to a season since the 2018-2019 season where BGSU started with two top 5 finishes.
This is the second time in O'Sullivan's BG career in which she has earned MAC Women's Golfer of the Week, with her first coming on 10/05/23.
