BGSU Women’s Golf Opens 2025 Spring Season in Matchplay against Central Michigan
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green women's golf team will start the 2025 competitive season with a neutral match against the Central Michigan Chippewas. The match is scheduled for 11 am at the Bay Island Golf Course in Fort Meyers, Fla. on Sunday Jan. 19. For the Falcons this will be the first tournament since the Dayton Flyer Invitational on Oct. 7-8.

Last Time Out
- Freshman Clare Yeazell finished third as an individual at the Dayton Flyer Invitational shooting a 69-77-78-224(+14)
- Yeazell recorded a new personal low round shooting a 69(-1)
- The last tournament, the Loyola Parkinson Family Invitational, the Falcons attended, the team finished in fourth place for their third top five finish of the fall
- Sophomore Sammie Dolce finished tied for third individually, with a score of 144 through 36 holes moved her to second all time for best scores in 36 holes behind fellow teammate junior Ava O'Sullivan
Notables
- This marks the Falcons first competition in the 2025 calendar year, as well as the first match play against another team
- This will be the second time this season the Falcons will see the Chippewas after playing in Central Michigan's A-Ga-Ming Invitational, where the Falcons finished as the runner-up
- The Falcons will be competing in Florida for the first time since the 2022-23 season in which the BGSU traveled to Florida twice that season
- BGSU will be playing against the first of two MAC opponents in match play, with the second coming against Toledo in the battle of I-75
