BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team has earned a postseason invitation to the 2025 Golfweek National Golf Invitational (NGI), marking a significant milestone for the program. The Falcons will travel to Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz., to compete in the 54-hole championship from May 8-11.

It is BGSU's first postseason tournament in program history. The Falcons are coming off a second-place finish in the MAC Championship, which was the best finish in program history.

This marks the third edition of the NGI, which was created to provide deserving college programs with a unique opportunity to "Play in May" and extend their seasons with a postseason experience. Bowling Green is one of nine teams selected to compete in the prestigious event, joining a field that includes UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, Mercer, North Texas, Rutgers, Eastern Michigan, Oral Roberts and Santa Clara.

The NGI will follow a traditional college format, with each team fielding five players and counting the four best scores per round. Teams will have the ability to make substitutions throughout the event. A team and individual champion will be crowned after 54 holes, with playoffs determining any ties.

The event kicks off on Thursday, May 8, with a practice round followed by a welcome dinner. Competitive play begins on Friday, May 9, and concludes with the final round on Sunday, May 11.

The invitation to the NGI highlights the Falcons' strong 2024-25 campaign, as the selection committee recognized BGSU's season-long performance, national ranking, and key head-to-head results.
