Eight BGSU Gymnasts Named 2024 Academic All-MAC

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference named eight members of the Bowling Green State University Gymnastics team to the 2024 Academic All-MAC list, as announced by the league today (April 19).
Isabella Rivelli led the way with 4.0 grade point averages. Lauren Bannister and Emily Castiglia earned the honor for the second time in their careers. Megan Bingham, Charniya Brown, Elise Brzoska, Madison Coburn, Megan Decious and Rivelli all earned the honor for the first time in their careers.
Academic All-MAC is awarded to a student-athlete who has excelled in both athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First year freshmen and first year junior college transfers are not eligible.

- Brittney Emmons Named BGSU Gymnastics Head CoachBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University Director of Athletics Derek van der Merwe has announced the hiring of Brittney Emmons as the head gymnastics coach. Emmons, who comes to BGSU after spending the last five seasons at William & Mary where she was the ECAC Assistant Coach of the Year, is no stranger to the Mid-American Conference. As a gymnast at Ball State, Emmons was named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Senior Gymnast of the Year in 2013 and earned trips to three NCAA Regionals as an all-arounder.
