Falcons Host Ball State on Sunday Afternoon for a MACtion Meet

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green gymnastics team returns to action on Sunday afternoon when the Falcons host its first home meet of the season. BGSU welcomes SE Missouri State and Central Michigan to the Stroh Center. The tri-meet begins at 2 p.m.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green gymnastics team returns to action on Sunday afternoon when the Falcons host MAC foe Ball State inside the Stroh Center. The meet begins at 2 p.m.

• It is an Orange Wave game, so wear your orange!

ADMISSION AND ATTENDANCE GUIDELINES
• Admission for Sunday's meet is $6 ($5+$1 fee). Gates open at 1 p.m.
• Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time online. 
• The concession stand will open at 1 p.m.
• All parking lots surrounding the Stroh Center are free of charge
• All bags will be checked upon entrance into the Stroh Center. No outside food or drink will be allowed.

IN THE RANKINGS 
• Bowling Green is ranked No. 60 in the nation per Road to Nationals. Ball State comes in at No. 33. 
• Bowling Green is ranked No. 49 on vault, No. 55 on floor, No. 60 on bars and No. 72 on beam 
• Ball State is No. 25 on floor, No. 33 on bars, No. 44 on vault and No. 42 on beam.  
 
ALL-TIME SERIES 
• BGSU is 27-21 all-time against Ball State. BGSU's win in 2022 in Muncie, Ind., snapped a five-meet losing streak to the Cardinals. 
• BSU has a two-meet winning streak with a 196.600-193.200 triumph last year in Muncie. 
• Ball State narrowly topped BGSU in 2023 Anderson Arena, 196.375-196.000. 
• BGSU's 196.000 was the fifth-best score in program history.  
• The last time Ball State came to Bowling Green, Megan Bingham tied the program record on beam with a 9.950.
• BGSU head coach Brittney Emmons is a 2012 graduate of Ball State. She was honored as the 2013 Mid-American Conference Senior Gymnast of the Year. A two-time team captain, she qualified for the NCAA Regionals three times as an all-arounder (2010, 2011, 2013) and competed at the 2009 regional meet on vault and floor. She earned All-MAC honors for three seasons and placed third on vault at the championship meet in 2011.
 
LAST WEEK 
• BGSU split a tri-meet at the Stroh Center last Sunday.
• The Falcons topped SEMO as Central Michigan took the event.
Katrina Mendez Abolnik was in the lineup for the first time since the 2023 NCAA Regional in Pittsburgh and nailed her vault with a 9.800. She and Bingham (9.800) tied for third on the vault for the meet.
Kennady Kreinbrink had a PR on bars with a 9.750 in the anchor position. 
Landyn Williams made her BGSU debut on floor. She is a second-year transfer from Talladega College.
