Falcons Finish the Regular Season at No. 8 Michigan State on Sunday
EAST LANSING, Mich. – The final Bowling Green State University gymnastics tune-up before next week's MAC Championship went in favor of the No. 8 Michigan State Spartans, 197.375-192.550. The Falcons and Spartans met on Sunday afternoon at Jenison Field House.
The Falcons had many strong routines but had to count falls on bars and beam. BGSU's Megan Bingham finished third in the All-Around and Kayla Shaw continued to shine on floor as the first year secured her sixth 9.8 or greater score in the event this season.
Katrina Mendez Abolnik continues to be strong on vault anchor with a 9.775. It is her fifth event with a 9.775 or great this year out of nine events. In addition to Shaw's strong floor routine, Bingham, Madison Coburn, Keira Thornton and Landyn Williams all scored 9.750 or higher in the event.

• Love Akpan had a season-high 9.700 on vault.
• Landyn Williams tied her season high on floor with a 9.750.
• Kayla Shaw had a 9.800 on floor. It is the sixth time this year she has scored a 9.800 or greater on floor, including her third-straight meet.
• Nadia Parente tied her season high on beam with a 9.750.
