Fox, Falcons Announce Fall 2025 Schedule
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University women's soccer coach Chris Fox recently announced his team's schedule for the 2025 season. The Falcons will play a 19-match regular-season slate that includes 11 contests inside the friendly confines of Cochrane Stadium.
The Falcons' seven-game non-conference slate includes home contests against opponents from the Big Ten, Big 12 and Atlantic 10 conferences, as Illinois, Cincinnati and Duquesne all will come to Cochrane this fall. BGSU has a total of five home matches in that seven-game pre-conference slate.
The non-conference schedule also includes four matches against Horizon League opponents. BGSU begins the 2025 season against one of those HL foes, facing Oakland on Aug. 14 at Cochrane. That will be BG's lone night game at Cochrane this fall.
The Oakland match is part of a three-match homestand to begin the season, as Illinois (Aug. 17) and Cleveland State (Aug. 21) come to Cochrane as well. The CSU match will be part of a doubleheader with the Falcon men's soccer team.
The women's soccer Falcons will open the road portion of the schedule with a match at Detroit Mercy (Aug. 28), before ending the month of August with a home matchup vs. Cincinnati (Aug. 31).
Back-to-back games vs. Pittsburgh-area schools will conclude the non-league schedule, as the Orange and Brown will face Robert Morris on the road (Sept. 4) and Duquesne at home (Sept. 7).
The 12-game Mid-American Conference schedule begins with a home game vs. Kent State on Sept. 14. All six of the Falcons' MAC home games will be played on Sunday afternoons.
The road portion of the league schedule begins with a trip to Athens to face Ohio (Sept. 18), before BG returns home for a two-game homestand that starts with a matchup vs. defending conference champion Western Michigan (Sept. 21). The Falcons and Broncos have combined to win six of the last seven MAC regular-season titles.
In addition to the KSU and WMU games, BGSU's home conference schedule includes matchups against Central Michigan (Sept. 28), Miami (Oct. 12), Ball State (Oct. 19) and Akron (Oct. 26).
The MAC road slate features trips to OU, Toledo (Oct. 2), Eastern Michigan (Oct. 5), Northern Illinois (Oct. 16), Buffalo (Oct. 23) and the league's newest member, Massachusetts (Oct. 29).
The MAC Tournament begins with quarterfinal-round matches on Saturday, Nov. 1, with the semifinals scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 4, and the final slated for Friday, Nov. 7.
BGSU has not played as many as 11 home matches since the 2021 campaign. That season saw the Falcons host a pair of MAC Tournament games. BG played 13 contests at Cochrane in 2018, including three league tourney matches.
The last time the Falcons played 11 regular-season matches at home was in 2016. The school record is 12 regular-season home contests, in 2010.
