Ten Falcons Named to Academic All-MAC Team
CLEVELAND, Ohio (BGSU Strategic Communications) – A total of 10 members of the Bowling Green State University softball team have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon (June 4).
The Falcons' lengthy list includes Scarlet Anderson, Lexi Carver, Ashley Chevalier, Delaney Davis, Peyton Dolejs, Marti Henkel, Mackenzie Krafcik, Wynnie Reid, Reagan Williamson and Madi Young.
Dolejs and Williamson each were named to the Academic All-MAC Team for the third consecutive season, while Reid and Young each earned the honor for the second-straight spring.
BGSU's total of 10 honorees ties the Falcons for third in the conference.
The Academic All-MAC team honor is bestowed upon a student-athlete who has excelled in both athletics and academics. To qualify, said student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests for that particular sport. First-year students and transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
