BOWLING GREEN, OHIO – The Bowling Green Tennis team heads back on the road, this time at Cleveland State University from October 18th-20th. The Falcons will be going up against Cleveland State, Youngstown State, and Duquense at the Viking Invitational.
Tia Clemens is looking for another strong performance after finishing first in her draw at the Eastern Michigan Invitational in early September. Sumejja Plicanic also finished in the singles round-robin.
The team is coming off an appearance at the ITA Regional Qualifier and is looking to bounce back against the Vikings, Penguins, and Dukes. Isabella Baker and Tia Clemens put up a strong performance against the Northern Illinois duo of Horne and Kousiou but fell 8-5.
The tournament will feature a hidden dual format. This will allow for coaches to switch the lineup however they might choose between matches. Additionally, doubles partners will be able to be switched from match to match.
The Viking Invitational will be an opportunity for the team to get ready for the MAC Fall Championships that will be held at Miami (OH) University from October 24-27th.
