Preview: Tennis to Host Hidden Duals Against Butler, Findlay and Wayne State
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The BGSU tennis team will continue its fall slate of competitions on Friday and Saturday, Sep. 26-27 as they host a Hidden Duals event featuring opponents Butler, Findlay and Wayne State.
The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Friday at Keefe Courts on the campus of BGSU. It will begin with two rounds of singles play on Friday, followed by the first round of doubles play in the afternoon. On Saturday, the event will continue with two rounds of doubles play, slotted to begin at 10 a.m. The event will then conclude with a final round of singles play on Saturday afternoon.
The BGSU Hidden Duals event will not be scored as a team event and therefore results of the event will not be reflected on the teams' records. However, results from the event will be reflected on the individual players' records.
Key Storylines
Last weekend, the team opened up its fall schedule at the Eastern Michigan Block E Invitational. BGSU had a strong showing, as Qianyu Liu and Lucia Gaio went 3-0 and won their respective groups in singles play.
In doubles action, newcomers Libby Blair and Kiera Taylor went 3-0, winning the first doubles group. Lucia Gaio and Isabella Norris also went 3-0 in doubles play, being crowned victorious in group four.
