BGSU Battles Broncos in Friday's Season Finale

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — The Bowling Green State University tennis team returns home on Friday (April 18) for the last match of the 2024-25 season, taking on Western Michigan University. The Falcons (9-13, 0-9 MAC) will meet the Broncos (11-13, 2-7 MAC) in a 1:00 p.m. start at the Perrysburg Tennis Center.
The Falcons are looking to bounce back after suffering a pair of 5-2 losses last weekend, against Ball State and Eastern Michigan. Western Michigan also went 0-2 last weekend, with a 6-1 setback to Buffalo and a 5-2 loss against Miami.
Clemens Earns MAC Weekly Honor
BGSU sophomore Tia Clemens was named the MAC Singles Player of the Week on Tuesday (April 15) after posting a pair of wins at the number-one singles flight last weekend. Clemens enters the WMU match on three-match win streak at the top flight.
Opponent Outlook
The Western Michigan Broncos are currently 11-13 overall and 2-7 in MAC play. The Broncos are looking to snap a four-match losing streak. Western's conference victories both came at home by 4-3 scores, against Eastern Michigan (March 21) and Toledo (March 30)
Series History
The Orange and Brown trail Western Michigan, 30-5, in the all-time series, and BGSU will be looking to snap a three-match series losing streak. The Falcons' last win against WMU came in the 2020-21 season.
