Bonnell names CJ Horvath as Assistant Coach
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University head tennis coach Mike Bonnell has announced the hiring of CJ Horvath as an assistant coach.
Horvath joins the Falcons from nearby Northview High School in Sylvania, Ohio. During his time, as a coach he helped to manage and develop strategies for his players. He also has served as a teaching instructor at Shadow Valley in Maumee, Ohio. In this role he was able to design programs focusing on personal development and competitive strategies for young tennis players. In his time at Shadow Valley, he delivered coaching to Elite Junior programs and helped serve as a positive role model for young athletes.
He is a graduate of the University of Toledo, where he served as the president of the University of Toledo Club Tennis team. On top of leading his team in nationally recognized tournaments, he helped to organize practice sessions and managed logistics for major tournaments.

The Bowling Green tennis team will open their 2024-25 competitive campaign on Sept.20 at the Eastern Michigan Invitational, hosted by Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti, Mich.
